Software Engineer - Java / JavaScript / Python

The successful candidate will develop backend services that will power the company's responsive web and mobile applications. You will implement a range of programs that will be primarily deployed on the Amazon Web Services cloud platform using  JAVA or JavaScript or Python and distributed computing technologies. All our products are designed to take millions of requests per day.

You should be fully motivated to develop something that scales to millions and work in a like-minded team that is constantly thinking of how to implement the best and modern technology architecture to power the products.

You will be required to use several scalable and robust technologies like DynamoDB, RDS, message queues, PUSH messaging, asynchronous communications, web sockets to mention a few.

While we do offer training and guidance to some extent, the ideal candidate will already have experience in all this or will be a fast learner of new technologies.

The company builds it's own products and is a growing business that counts very high profile international clients from the public sector to the large corporations.

The candidate should be comfortable to work in an organization that doesn’t have hierarchies, standard operating procedures, and work in small teams.

Requirements :

• 1 – 3 years of strong development experience. Freshers are eligible based on academic performance and any projects previously done.
• Past experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is preferred.
• Past coding experience with any SQL and NoSQL databases is preferred.
• Experience in any kind of high volumes data crunching programmatically is a plus.
• Academic qualification in areas like Computer Science / IT or related fields are preferred.
• Candidates should be academically confident in their respective disciplines.
• You should also have good verbal and written communication skills and be a team player with good brainstorming and conceptualization capabilities.
• You should be able to join us within 1 month from the date of receiving the offer letter.

Salary:

4 lakhs - 8 lakhs per annum (CTC) depending on the experience and performance during interview.

Software Engineer - UI

The successful candidate will develop user interfaces for the company’s products using web and mobile technologies.

The candidate will go through the full software development life cycle including gathering requirements, test driven development. The candidate should be able to build high quality user interfaces referring to mock-ups or suggestions by product owners. An ability to contribute positively to furthering User Experience (UX) of the product by way of design suggestions is a plus.

The candidate should be able to code high quality, maintainable, and reusable UI components with the frameworks and web technologies adopted for the product.

• Strong understanding of systems using real time interactions (server events, polling, sockets) is a plus.
• Experience in any Cloud platform is a plus.

Media Data Analyst

Roles and Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will deliver daily news reports on media coverage around the topics of interest to our clients. News, facts and figures will be extracted from the company's own apps and tools. Reports are strictly to be delivered during set times during the day.
• The successful candidate will be able to read through and sieve out important and relevant news articles which are of interest to our clients and include them in the report.
• Analytical thinking and good background on the subjects of interest are needed to provide clients with information that matters.
• Necessary training on the background will be provided for the candidate upon joining us. News articles are typically political and economical in nature. News articles are also typically in English and one other foreign language (foreign-language articles will be provided with machine-translated English transcripts).
• The candidate would ideally have studied arts, economics, or political science in college. Other skills required are good verbal and written communication. The company is a growing startup business and so the candidate should be comfortable to work in an organization that doesn't have hierarchies, standard operating procedures, and work in small teams.

Desired Candidate Profile :

• Fresh graduates (2023 & 2024 passed out) from colleges are not only allowed, but they are encouraged to apply for this position if all the requirements are met.
• A bachelor's or master's degree from a good college or university is required for this position. The ideal candidate would have a degree in one of the areas of arts, political science, mass communications or related fields with a minimum 70 percent.
• It is important to produce reports for clients sticking to set delivery time (via email) on any day. So, the candidate would strictly need to follow work hours. The candidate will be allotted to one of the two shifts 8 am to 5 pm or 10 am to 7 pm.
• The role is suited for candidates who are looking to start building their careers in of the fields of Public Relations, Communications, Media and Marketing.
• The candidate should have previous experience and familiarity working with Microsoft Office suite of tools especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• If the candidate is interested in following the news cycles on a topic, especially national or international news, it would help in easily settling into the position as much of the job involves tracking stories, discovering new developments, and deciding if end users or customers would need to be updated by way of reports.
• Good written and verbal communications skills are important and will be one of the evaluation criteria during interviews.
